These buses all stop at Amstelveen bus station, and of course, there are buses operating within the municipality itself. While the municipality no longer has its own railway station, it is the largest town in the Netherlands without one. However, Amstelveen is easily accessible from the Amsterdam Zuid, Amsterdam RAI, Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA, and Schiphol stations. The municipality also borders Schiphol, making it convenient for a spontaneous getaway!

Although there are no universities in Amstelveen, Amsterdam is home to two universities that are not too far away.
